Maternity Nanny Training:
This Award written by MNT is unique in that it provides Nannies, Maternity Nurses and others with the opportunity to gain a formally accredited qualification in Maternity Nursing. As we have mentioned previously we are the only providers of such an award here and overseas.The Award now recieves record levels of students due to our outstanding reputation and more students now attend via referral from recruitment agencies or former students than our own advertising.

Course Dates in 2004:
12th-14th Feb/ 15th-17th April/ 3rd-5th Jun/ 5th-7th Aug/ 30thSep-2nd Oct/ 2nd-4th Dec.

Length of Course:
2 & a Half Days formal teaching time -plus pre-reading and post course assessment work time.

Certificated Course:
Yes (Fully accredited by OCN -examining body,and Certificates issued by OCN).

Assessed Course:
Yes (Fully assessed, verified and moderated).

Suitable For:
Experienced Nannies, Midwives,Maternity Nurses, Doulas, Maternity Unit Staff such as Nursery Nurses, HCA,s.etc. The course is not suitable for beginners and is not for those without professional childcare experience particularly with young babies.All those considering a career in Maternity Nursing are advised to read our information for Maternity Nurses in the Nannies & Maternity Nurses section.

Course Content:
Students cover all aspects of care of the newborn and post-natal mother including breastfeeding. Additionally students are given advice on routines, working with parents, becoming self employed and managing their finances as well as help on how to get work in the Maternity Nurse sector.(This course does not cover basics such as bathing, bottle feeding and changing babies.If you feel you need this kind of training check out our new BabyCare course-new for 2004).

Our past students have ranged from those in their twenties to those in their 70's and we have trained over 200 Maternity Nurses to date.
