Eden Nannies & Maternity is committed
to supporting the training and development of the graduating
childcaring workforce.
We have always undertaken continuous
assessment of our candidates through informal channels, however
we have decided to formalise this assessment by charting
and supporting the career progression of a number of graduate
candidates.
The Programme will involve the following:
- Selection, in conjunction with a number of UK colleges,
of a handful of excellent students who are interested in
undertaking the programme
- Eden working with a number of
suitable families who will take on the role of ‘mentor
family’ throughout
the programme
- Eden will interview and assess each student
for their suitability for the programme
- The ‘mentor
family’ will interview suitable
candidates and select who best suits their family requirements
and household
- Continuous informal assessment will be undertaken
by Eden Nannies & Maternity and the ‘mentor family’ over
a 1 year period. Formal written appraisals by the family
will be undertaken at 6 months and 1 year.
- The nanny will
also be asked to complete a ‘placement
feedback form’ at 6 months and 1 year.
- The family
will pay the nanny directly the sum of £200
(net) per week for the first 6 months. At 6 months this
will be reviewed and increased to £220 per week.
At the end of the year and if both parties agree to continue
the contract, the salary will be increased to £250pw
thereafter.
- Both the family and the nanny will receive on-going
support and guidance from an Eden consultant throughout
the programme
