Welcome to the Maternity Nurses Division of Eden Nannies.

If you are expecting your first child or are a more experienced parent looking forward to number two, three or four (!) then there is nothing better than the support and reassurance of a knowledgeable and caring maternity nurse and a maternity/nanny agency you can trust.

The Eden Nannies Maternity division have specialised for over 10 years in providing experienced and qualified maternity nurses ( sometimes also known as baby nurses, post-natal carers or maternity practitioners) within London, throughout the whole of the UK and overseas.

We recognise that this is an extremely special and personal time and whilst you will be looking for a maternity nurse who shows professionalism, knowledge and experience in the care of your new baby, you also want a maternity nurse who displays warmth and understanding towards you and your family. We take the time to try and understand the journey you have pictured for yourself and the sort of experience you hope pregnancy, childbirth and being a parent will be and we will endeavour to support the choices you make for you and your family.

We thoroughly interview all maternity nurses in person, to ascertain their experience and suitability for the maternity roles we have.
Only those maternity nurses who meet our strict criteria regarding experience and references will be registered. All references from previous employers are verified by us before a maternity nurse is introduced to a client and all maternity nurses must have an up to date Enhanced CRB check (or one in progress) before being put forward for consideration. All maternity nurses will also need to have a valid 1st Aid certificate or be in the process of updating one.

Vanessa Willimott – Maternity Consultant
Vanessa has been part of the maternity team since 2001 and has several years of experience helping families and maternity nurses find the right solutions. Vanessa takes great pride in the level of support she offers clients and maternity nurses. Most recently she has had a son herself which has given her an even greater understanding of the needs of her clients and the deep level of emotions at such a personal time.

Emma Perry – Maternity Consultant
Emma joined the maternity team in June 2009 to cover Vanessa’s maternity leave and we are not letting her go!! Her excellent experience working in the recruitment industry has made her very intuitive and she is very sensitive to the needs of parents and maternity nurses. Emma is a friendly, understanding and approachable person who has fitted well into the maternity team.

Hayley Wallbridge – Maternity Consultant Support
Hayley is a highly valued member of the maternity team and is our organisational super star! She has over 10 years of administrative experience and is a friendly and supportive first point of contact for clients and maternity nurses alike.

MNT Training are leading providers in Nanny & Maternity Nurse training with a long established reputation in delivering high quality education for Maternity Nurses. MNT deliver CACHE, PFAA and OCN accredited courses and are on the CWDC (Children’s Workforce Development Council) approved supplier list.

Maternity Nurse Training:
This 3 day, level 3 OCN accredited Maternity Practitioner Award provides experienced nannies, maternity nurses and others with professional newborn experience, the opportunity to gain this highly regarded qualification in maternity nursing and obtain the skills and knowledge required to practice as a maternity nurse.

Course Content:
Students cover all aspects of care of the newborn and post-natal mother, including in depth breastfeeding training. Additionally students are given advice on routines, working with parents, becoming self employed, CV’s, interviews and managing finances as well as help on how to get work in the Maternity Nurse sector.
